Our volunteers keep us going.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of our Downtown East services. With over 100 active volunteers, we find meaningful ways for the community to serve with us.

All volunteers working with children and youth must provide a recent police check and vulnerable sector screening. In addition, interested volunteers must complete mandatory abuse prevention training courses for working with children and youth.

We welcome the following volunteer opportunities:

  • College Students

  • High-school students

  • Newcomers

  • Corrections

  • Corporate partners

  • Community members

  • Families

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please submit the volunteer application below to Captain Deanna at deanna.scott@salvationarmy.ca. We will reach out to you about a placement.

We offer college co-op placements at our centre.

We can fulfill your mandatory 40 volunteer hours.

We provide reference letters for immigration services.

We create work options for court order service hours.

We will host corporate groups interested in giving back.

We would love to have you volunteer whenever you're able.

We provide safe, family-friendly spaces to give back together.
